Pacific Coliseum Hosts World Kickboxing Championship
On Saturday November 29, the venerable Pacific Coliseum plays host to a mix of world championship kickboxing, punk rock and heavy metal music.

Headlining the fight card is North Vancouver's Blake "The Blade" Lirette as he squares off with Kwame Stephens for the WKL World Kickboxing Championship. Hometown boy Lirette currently holds the North American SKF Kickboxing Championship.

Also on the bill, some very special musical guests: legendary punk rock band D.O.A. will perform as will seminal Canadian heavy metal act Thor.

A percentage of the proceeds will benefit the Michael Cuccione Foundation. The foundation raises money to assist with emotional support for cancer patients and their families and to fund cancer research.

Doing their part for the Michael Cuccione Foundation will be fight promoters Gerry Gionco of Gionco's Sports World and Jim Tessman of ringfight.com as they plan to step into the ring for a special "Battle of the Promoters" match. Another highlight on the fight bill includes a Canadian heavyweight title bout.
