The Promoter of ELITE F.C., NFC, and NAC, Mike Hammoud, is proud to announce The North American Challenge (NAC) # 23 which will be held on June 3rd, 2006 in North Vancouver, BC.

The event will feature Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Kickboxing and Muay Thai bouts. This guarantees an action-packed evening of exciting fights in a venue that offers incredible views from every seat.

The Welterweight MMA title will be up for grabs between George Kassimatis and Ryan “Stonehands” Machan.

Ali Pourmosa and James Bannochie will be battling for a WKA Middleweight Kickboxing title.

Of special interest to many people is a women’s MMA match up between Liz Posener and Sarah Kaufman. It’s not often that we get to see two women who are such skilled competitors battle in an MMA bout. Both women are in excellent shape, and have everything it takes to put on an incredibly skilled show. Liz is also the wife of former World Champion Simon Posener, the developer of Poseners Pankration and owner of Kel-Lee’s Martial Arts.

Bryan Jones will be fighting Karim Bahloo in a full Muay Thai bout that follows the original rules set in Thailand where the sport was developed, rather than following the modified Mauy Thai rules that are commonly seen in Vancouver.

Cesar Narita will be facing one of Canada’s top three 170 pound wrestlers - Adam Valentiate. Cesar brought Morganti Ju-jitsu to Canada and teaches it at his school in Whiterock. Cesar has fought many tough competitors and proven himself over and over with a no-loss record through NAC, NFC and Elite fighting bouts.

Wendy Roy will be in a kickboxing bout against Heidi Otterbein. Heidi trains with world-renowned fighter Lance Gibson who has successfully fought in the UFC, Shooto Japan and Superbrawl.
